GLADE FARM is located on 12 acres of woods, meadows and stream in beautiful Pike County, PA. The clean, fresh Pocono Mountain air and unspoiled nature make for a peaceful and pristine setting. Ann Flagler has 25 years of professional experience in horticultural therapy and childrens gardens. She has worked with many different populations including aged, geriatrics, youth-at-risk, and developmentally disabled individuals. She has designed educational programs for The New York Botanical Garden, senior centers, nursing homes, and schools.

Additional areas of Ann’s expertise include nature craft, dried and living wreaths, and holiday botanicals. Ann studied at Farmingdale College, Oxford University, and The New York Botanical Garden.

Joel Flagler is a Full Professor at Rutgers University Cook College in New Brunswick, NJ. He has served on the Rutgers faculty for over 20 years, coordinating the Horticultural Therapy curricula and teaching the Master Gardener program. He also has 25 years of experience teaching professional landscape contractors and turf managers.

Prior professional experiences include the United States Forest Service and The New York Botanical Garden.

Joel received his Masters degree from Yale University School of Forestry and his BS from Rutgers University. He is a Registered Horticultural Therapist.
